Tennis Off-Season

Since my last updates, tennis has now gone into its off-season. Rafael Nadal completed hiscareer grand slam by winning the 2010 US Open in his first trip to the final round in New York.

After defeating Novak Djokovic in a match that was entertaining, but not ever really that

close, Nadal held up the trophy under the court lights and became only the 7th man to win all major tournaments at least once. At 24 he’s the youngest, a fact which further incites the argument about whether or not he can catch and surpass Roger Federer’s record of 16 slams won.

The connection between the two players is almost shocking and can take up a number of blogs in itself which I’ll post on later. But for now the focus will be on Nadal’s incredible season of 3 slams in a row. I’m a huge Rafa fan and while it pleases me that some are arguing that he just completed the greatest season of all time, I hesitate to go down that road. To read more on that hit this link:
